Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is the manipulation of soft tissue with the intention of improving health and well being. Research shows that massage has wide-ranging positive effects. It can improve the functioning of the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems of the body. Massage therapy can address conditions ranging from stress and anxiety to injury and chronic pain. The therapist's goal is to increase circulation to the muscles, to decrease pain and muscle spasm, and to bring about an overall feeling of relaxation.

What are the different types of Massage?

There are many types of massage. Swedish massage techniques help to eliminate toxins from the body and calm the nervous system. What can you expect?

Our massage sessions generally last one hour. The therapist will begin the first session by asking about your health history and your current physical condition in order to meet your individual needs. In privacy, you will remove your clothing to your level of comfort and lie on the massage table fully draped with a sheet. During the massage, the therapist will only undrape the area that is being treated. You should communicate with the therapist about any discomfort or distractions you experience so that you can be fully relaxed and get the full benefits of massage.
